Middle Eastern Lamb Recipe (Kebab style)

If you are planning to entertain your guests with an authentic Middle Eastern lamb recipe for dinner, you will be surprised about the number of different dishes that are available. But since the Middle East is most famous for its Kebab dishes, here is a lamb kebab recipe. We are sure, that you and your guests will love it.

Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Coriander, ground
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin, ground
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric, ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, ground
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Onion, grated
  • ¼ cup Peanut or Vegetable Oil

For the Kebab

  • 2 lbs. Lean Lamb, cut in cubes
  • 2 medium Bell Peppers, cut in large chunks
  • 2 medium Onions, cut in large chunks
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, cut in large wedges

Directions

In a large bowl, mix the marinade ingredients. Add in the lamb cubes and allow to marinate for an hour.

Preheat your broiler or light up the barbecue grill.

Evenly divide meat and vegetables into 4 parts. Skewer the pieces, alternating between the two. Place each skewer 4-5 inches from the flame. Grill and turn to cook evenly, around 10 minutes.

Remove this Middle Eastern Lamb recipe from the grill and serve.

Tips

You can serve this dish with rice and a special cucumber sauce. This recipe serves 4 people.
